Welcome to Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church!

We are a PCUSA church active and vibrant in our community of faith. We want you to feel welcome and are eager to include you in any or all that our church offers. People are not to be slaves to programs; programs should serve people. We hope ours will serve you. We invite you to explore our site, get resources for your journey of faith, and find opportunities to grow and places to serve.

JOIN US FOR THE CASUAL WORSHIP SERVICE Sunday at 6:00 p.m. at Hunter Valley Farm amphitheater (or inside the pavilion in the event of rain or cold weather).  The WordPlayers’ original production “On a Hill Far Away” will be part of our worship. This inspiring mix of humor, drama, and music portrays characters from the Gospel accounts in the wake of their life-changing interactions with Jesus.  This is a family-friendly service.

FISH NEEDS for this month include dishwashing liquid, shampoo, and toilet paper.  Please bring any donations to the church office by tomorrow.  If you can help deliver groceries on Tuesday, please contact Kim Zirkle at 558-9637 or squeeze84@comcast.net.

MOVIE ON THE LAWN:  The Neighborhood Outreach Committee presents “The Lion King” on Friday at 7:30 p.m.  Rain or Shine! If it rains, the movie will be shown in Barron Hall.  Bring your own blanket or chair and non-alcoholic beverages and the committee will provide the popcorn!

MINNOWS DRIVERS are needed on Saturday from noon – 1:00 p.m. (from Church of the Savior on Weisgarber) to deliver groceries to two to four needy families in Knoxville. Volunteers may contact 522-9804 to get more details or help.

DON AND CHARLENE WOODS, Missionaries in Mongolia, will be here on Sunday, March 26.  They will lead a Minute for Mission at the 8:30 and 11:00 worship services. A more detailed presentation will be provided during the Sunday school hour in the Chapel Class.  Come find out the progress PMM Gobi Outreach has made in spreading the gospel and their plans for the 2017 Spring Mission.  They are most thankful for our prayers and support over the years and in the future as the gospel reaches Gobi peoples for the first time!

Stewardship & Giving

“Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and thus put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts; see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing” (Malachi 3:10).

Gifts by cash or check may be given during the Sunday offering or mailed to the church.  Please coordinate stock contributions with Michell Witt so that it can be properly credited on your giving statement. Contact: mwitt@sequoyahchurch.org  or 865-522-9804.
