Monday Morning Prayer Group
Did you know that the Monday morning prayer group has been in existence since 1948,which was also the same year that the Presbyterian Women met for the first time? Thefirst group came together to pray for their sons and others who were involved in the Korean Emergency (as it was then called). From that time forward, there has been a small group who gather faithfully each Monday morning to prayers for the concerns of thechurch. The group now consists of several women who meet from 11:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m. in the Reception Room.
The prayer group would love to have anyone who is willing to pray (either out loud or silently) to join them as SHPC enters into this exciting new era in the life of the church.
God’s faithfulness to this church through the years is clearly evident, and SHPC surely needs His continuing guidance and wisdom.
Please call Mary Alice Tucker or Barbara McWilliams if you have any questions.
