The SHPC student ministry invites students, their friends, and families to live abundantly in Christ,
to become disciple-makers themselves, and to intentionally engage the world.

Values

  1. Knowing Jesus: We hold as our highest priority helping young people know Jesus personally, grow in knowledge of God’s Word, and give evidence of genuine relationships with Jesus through their transformed lives.
  2. Inclusive: We welcome every youth and family, and work intentionally to create an accepting, inclusive, and safe space for them.
  3. Relational: We believe that the Gospel is most profoundly shared person to person through loving friendships, faithful conversation, and invested time.
  4. Grounded in the Spirit: We anchor our work in reliance on the work, power, and comfort of the Holy Spirit.
  5. Authentic: We create spaces where our truest selves can be known and shared, where questions and doubts are welcomed, and where the uniqueness of each person is honored.
  6. Outward Focused: We cultivate servant-hearted leaders, eager to hear and respond to God’s call to bless their community and invite those outside the student ministry to join in God’s work.
  7. Engaging: We curate an atmosphere of playfulness, with gatherings and environments where students are eager to be.
  8. Intentional: We create and implement initiatives grounded in the priority of developing lifelong followers of Christ and deliberately integrating every detail of the ministry around that singular purpose.

Head. Heart. Hands.
