ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL

THE BIBLE EXPLORERS CLASS studies both the Old and New Testament through lecture and other teaching methods to encourage understanding and application of the Scripture. THE CHRISTIAN ISSUES DISCUSSION CLASS is composed of adults of all ages who explore issues from a Christian perspective.  Location:  Room 318 of the Spitzer Education Building; Contact Person:  Allie Harmon, 522-9835

 

MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR OLDER ADULTS

The CHURCH & COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP LUNCH is on the second Thursday of every month at Noon in the Fellowship Hall. The luncheon features a health issues speaker every other month.

BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENINGS are taken by our Parish Nurse on the second Sunday of every month at 9:30 a.m. and Noon in the Reception Room.  Members and neighbors are welcome to call Laurette Beekman in the church office (522-9804) to set up an appointment to have their blood pressure taken during the week.
 
The OLDER ADULT COMMITTEE meets on the second Monday of every month at Noon in Room 232.
 
The KNITTERS & STITCHERS GROUP meets at 10:00 a.m. on the third Monday of each month in the Youth Area on the upper floor of the Spitzer Education Building.

The MONDAY MOVIE MATINEE is the fourth Monday of every month at 3:00 p.m. in the Multi-Media Room of the Spitzer Education Building.  All adults are welcome!  Light refreshments will be served.

GRIEFSHARE
Griefshare is an 8 week Christ centered, grief recovery program that combines Biblically based teachings on grief recovery with opportunities to receive comfort in a small group setting.  
Mondays 7:00-8:00 p.m.: August 22-October 10, 2011,
October 17-December 5, 2011, January 9-February 27, 2012, and March 19-May 7, 2012

A CHURCHWIDE RETREAT*
(in Montreat, North Carolina) is planned for April 27-29, 2012.  Registration to begin this winter.

2012 WOMEN’S RETREAT*  March 2-4, 2012 at Buckberry Lodge.  Registration to begin in the fall.
