Andrew Skoog serves as Director of Music at SHPC where he directs the Chancel Choir and supervises the various music ministries of the church, including our children’s choirs. Mr. Skoog is a Sandra G. Powell Excellence Professor of Voice at the University of Tennessee where he also serves as conductor of the UT Men’s Chorale and coordinator of the voice program.

Mr. Skoog made his Carnegie Hall debut as tenor soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra. He returned to Carnegie Hall in 2005 as tenor soloist in Orff’s Carmina Burana, with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He has also sung with the American Symphony Orchestra in Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center.  A Metropolitan Opera regional finalist, he made his international debut in 2006 singing Carmina Burana with the Bergen Philharmonic in Bergen, Norway. He has performed with over sixty symphony orchestras across the United States and abroad.
