Rachel was born into a family that was steeped in God’s love.  What a gift that was to become! At age 9 it dawned on her that God’s love is centered in Jesus Christ, and she opened her life to Christ’s Lordship.  John 8:12 is her favorite verse: “Jesus said ‘I am the light of the world; whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.’”

Church ministry and missions were a part of her home, and led to her own experiences in mission, and in serving wonderful churches since 1992 in the areas of congregational care and fellowship, women’s ministries, and small group and evangelism ministries.   

She’s grateful that God led her to Sequoyah Hills Church in 2016, a place where God’s Spirit is so evidently at work. Her focus is coming alongside the many Care and Fellowship Ministries of our wonderful church.
