Sonya Ewell has been a member at SHPC since 2002 and began her ministry on staff in 2008 as the Director of Youth Ministries. After retiring from that position in 2017, she graciously accepted the call to come back as the church receptionist, a position that would allow her to spend more time with her family.
Sonya currently serves as the Office Manager and is the “face” of the church administration. In addition to answering the phones and greeting all who come to the church office, she assists the Business Administrator and the Ministry Coordinator. She also maintains the event calendar, as well as integrating processes and technology applications for managing the facility functuality, comfort, and safety. She and her husband Mike have raised two sons in the church family of SHPC.
