Sonya Ewell has been a member at SHPC since 2002 and began her ministry on staff in 2008 as the Director of Youth Ministries. After retiring from that position in 2017, she graciously accepted the call to come back as the church receptionist, a position that would allow her to spend more time with her family.

Sonya is the “face” of the church administration. In addition to answering the phones and greeting all who come to the church office, she assists the office manager, business administrator, and the Outreach and Evangelism division. She also maintains the database of church members and the event calendar, as well as the software application for managing the facility access control system. She and her husband Mike have raised two sons in the church family of SHPC.
