Middle and High School Weekly Activities

DEEPSunday Night Fellowship is the front door to our ministry. It is a great place to bring friends or try out youth ministry for the first time. We will meet on the third Sunday of every month at 6:30pm for a time of hanging out, playing games and learning about who Jesus is and how he wants to change our lives.

DEEPERSunday School starts at 9:45am in The Loft (Upstairs Spitzer Ed) every Sunday morning. Both high school and middle school students will gather for a bit to catch up and hang out. Afterwards, we will dig deep into God’s Word together as we study, ask questions, and learn about the Bible. This time will be led by volunteer leaders and youth staff. This year, we’ll be going through the first two books of the Bible (Genesis and Exodus) which provide a basis for our understanding of God and our faith as a whole.

DEEPEST Wednesday Night Small Group is the place where we will go the deepest in our pursuit of Jesus. There will be different groups for middle school boys, middle school girls, high school boys, and high school girls. We will meet at various locations throughout the church on Wednesday nights, and each group will be led by our youth volunteers and staff. Although each group may discuss different topics, this semester we will look at how our faith as Christians can impact our everyday lives.

Sunday Mornings in The Loft

When we start talking about the big story of the Bible, there’s no better place to start than at the beginning! The book of Genesis introduces us to several of the main characters, events, and themes of the story that God will unfold throughout the rest of the Bible.

Wednesday Night Fellowship Dinner
and Small Groups

For better or worse change shows up in our lives and tests what we’re made of. In some of our Wednesday Night Groups, students will be challenged to rethink how they view change and we’ll explore how God’s commitment to us doesn’t change, even if everything else does.

Dinner opens in Barron Hall at 5:00 p.m. Cost for your dinner is $10.

Youth Director

Hello hello! It’s a pleasure to see you on our Youth Ministry page. I’m the Youth Director here at Sequoyah Hills, and I love helping others learn about God and His work in the world. I’m originally from Ohio, but moved to Knoxville where I played college basketball and met my wife Madi. Together, we spend most of our free time playing tennis, Just Dance, and eating spaghetti. I’m also a huge nerd when it comes to guitars, ping pong, musical theatre, reading YA, and watching the NBA. Feel free to stop by and chat or reach out anytime!
